Mexico without human rights: How come you don't care?

 September 15, 2012

Police officers arrest students in Poza Rica for distributing flyers postulating their position against the mexican government. Poza Rica is a city in Mexico, located in the state of Veracruz, close to the Gulf of Mexico.

Why do you not listen to the protests of the Mexican People?

This is just in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico.

The population is protesting in Mexico in more than 85 large cities. I hear the claims for peace, justice and equality in the visual media, read it in newspapers. Claims for the respect of individual freedoms worldwide. Why am I not hearing even a peep about the situation in my country? It makes me wonder if we’re talking about the same world here.

Protest demonstration against the fraud validation of the july first 2012 elections in Mexico. These have been much more numerous than the ones in Russia against Putin, larger than the ones that took place in Egypt and the Arab countries against the autocracies there, bigger than the ones that caused the fall of the Berlin wall, etcetera. However, no country looks at Mexico because they know that these governments plan to sell PEMEX to foreign companies.

Have you ever seen Mexico? Our democracy is inside.
